Processing Procession, Bafic

Processing Procession is a piece of video/interaction art conceived and created by London based videographer, designer and all-round fantastic artist Bafic.

The piece documents a church procession, as well as the artists interaction with it. Furthermore it places the viewer of the piece throughout via a camera system. We are asked to process ourselves processing the procession.

We developed both a stand-alone application for displaying the piece in a theatre and website which allows the piece, including the interactive parts to be shared easily. We’re fascinated by the opportunities that the web creates for artists. How can a website be an art piece in itself? And how can it leverage the unique medium to change storytelling? We think Processing Procession takes a stab and answering both of these questions.
